So I was doing a study yesterday and I found that prayer is really not about what we say or who says what but the heart that says it (more like the why it’s been said)
Acts 10 tells us that the man Cornelius who was a gentile(unbeliever) but a respecter of God. He prayed (even when he was a sinner) because he feared God and his prayers were answered and He was also given a vision from God.
So it wasn’t about who he was(a sinner) but his heart towards God(his motive to please God).
Sometimes we have a thousand and one requests to bring to God and wonder why we don’t get answers. Sometimes we need to stop and check our heart’s posture before God, the motive behind the request. We need to be able to see beyond ourselves when we pray. It’s not bad to ask for personal things but let it all be according to the will of the Father. 1 John 5:14.
I pray that the Lord will open the eyes of our understanding to better understand His will for us and be able to ask for the right things when we come before Him in prayer.
God bless and keep us all in the light of His love. Amen ππ»
