OUR GOVERNOR AND OUR GOD

I went to a secondary school yesterday that was to be commissioned by the governor. Unfortunately he didn't come but his deputy did and after the commissioning was swarm by people raring to take pictures with him. Trust naija babes (yours sincerely inclusive), I was at the front row of the picture and when he was about leaving, he turned and shook my hand. Next a thought came to me, 'what if he had asked a question like, what do you want me to do for you...and what would my reply have been.' Right there and then, i scanned through and found that sincerely, the only needs running through my mind were the "I" needs; personal things. Nothing about how to affect others, communities and basically most of them were just so small for him to do. Then i said to myself, 'If an ordinary man could feel this way, how much more our heavenly father who can supply all our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus;  for personal needs are just too minimal, they are just extra-benefits -Matthew 6:33.' So lets start asking for real deals; how many of us would make a list of request and have one of them made not about us, and when i mean us I refer to your family, relatives and even friends; how many of us can make out time to sit and pray for someone who would not say 'Thanks' even when the prayers are answered; how many of us would make out time to pray for that neighbor with a hot temper instead of criticizing that person; then how many of us would take out time to kneel before the Father on behalf of that situation that everyone has turned their backs on even though you are not going to be appreciated. That's the prayer Heaven is waiting for, that's the prayer Heaven wants to hear. He's waiting for true seekers that would seek not for personal benefits but from a true and sincere heart and from  the benefit of others. So lets start asking cux the time is ticking.................
