So I heard these words in a movie and it made so much sense; “A compass points you to one direction and once you find it, you can never get lost.” We can actually relate it to our lives. Life can pull us in different directions, distraction here and there, making you settle for just about anything so long as you follow its trend. We can actually find ourselves bending to lives choices unintentionally when we don't know our “TRUE NORTH”-”OUR FATHER”. He is the only one that can give us our true map and guide, He is the only one that can show us the way despite the distractions we are faced with. He is the only one that can lead us safely and help us arrive at our destination(fulfil purpose) despite the ups and down. No wonder in Matthew He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life...” If you will allow Him today, He is ever ready to give answers to as many that calls upon Him. LIVING A PROSPEROUS LIFE Prosperity is relative. Prosperity to some is been wealthy, some it’s having good success, some, funny enough is having good health and so on and forth. All these are all good definitions of prosperity. Now let’s get biblical view of the word prosperity or to be prosperous. According to law of first mention when the word prosperous was used (Genesis 24:21) it was referring to a journey, whether it was successful or not then also in Joshua 1:8, ........you shall make your way prosperous and you shall have good success. It also had nothing to do with financial blessings. So it means to be prosperous is far beyond financial breakthrough. So I was doing a study yesterday and I found that prayer is really not about what we say or who says what but the heart that says it (more like the why it’s been said) Acts 10 tells us that the man Cornelius who was a gentile(unbeliever) but a respecter of God. He prayed (even when he was a sinner) because he feared God and his prayers were answered and He was also given a vision from God. So it wasn’t about who he was(a sinner) but his heart towards God(his motive to please God). Sometimes we have a thousand and one requests to bring to God and wonder why we don’t get answers. Sometimes we need to stop and check our heart’s posture before God, the motive behind the request. We need to be able to see beyond ourselves when we pray. It’s not bad to ask for personal things but let it all be according to the will of the Father. 1 John 5:14.
