LIVING A PROSPEROUS LIFE
Prosperity is relative. Prosperity to some is been wealthy, some it’s having good success, some, funny enough is having good health and so on and forth. All these are all good definitions of prosperity.
Now let’s get biblical view of the word prosperity or to be prosperous. According to law of first mention when the word prosperous was used (Genesis 24:21) it was referring to a journey, whether it was successful or not then also in Joshua 1:8, ........you shall make your way prosperous and you shall have good success. It also had nothing to do with financial blessings. So it means to be prosperous is far beyond financial breakthrough. It refers to every thing around you, your education, marital life, spiritual and all round even financial because when John the beloved was speaking
in 3 John 1:2.....wish that thou mayest prosper even as thy soul prospers. He was referring to their finance blossoming even as all areas are. So prosperity is an all around thing not just finance.
Understanding this we can now move to living a prosperous life. From the above you will understand now that to live a prosperous life will not just be to be financially stable, it’s beyond that it involves living as designed by your heavenly Father in all ramifications of life.
In living a prosperous life first of all we need to understand who we are in Christ. Now someone might say how does this relate?? Oh yes it does because living a prosperous life entails enjoy all the father has giving to us for example;
When it comes to health- prosperity in health entails no sickness and this can only be received via knowledge and faith in the word (1 peter 2:24).
When it comes to communication, relationships and emotions - we come to an understanding that his love is shared aboard in our heart (Eph. 3:17-18), we understand that he teaches us to love, we also understand that we have received the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-24) and so we reflect Christ in our communication via this fruit.
Even when it comes to finance we receive because- we come to an understanding that if he spare not his son then he will freely give us all things (Eph. 8:32) and also when we ask he giveth to us liberally (James 1:5) and also whatever we ask in his name he giveth to us (John 14:14)
All this knowledge, faith and assurance can only be birthed in the place of fellowship (getting to know the Father for yourself). So knowing the Father and all he has done for us in Christ, who we are in Christ and where we stand gives us an edge in enjoying and living a prosperous life because we come to an understanding that the life which liveth in us is prosperous and hence we live it by default.
So we don’t wait for the cars, the houses, and the billion dollar contracts to come before we enjoy and live prosperous. We live it everyday. The believers life is prosperous and hence we receive all that comes with it.
